23. "The Benefits of Weightlifting for Women: Busting the Myths."

Hey there, dear friend! It's Mike again. Thank you for reading my last blog post about "How to create a weekly workout routine?" I'm happy to be writing again, and today I'll be explaining the benefits of weightlifting for women and debunking some myths surrounding it. Remember, you can share your opinion in the comments section below by answering the question: "Which myths do you know?"

Let's start with a quick answer for those who are anxious and want to know it all: Yes, women need to train strength just like men. I've heard some myths like "Women shouldn't lift weights because they'll develop a masculine physique" or "Women only need to do cardio and light dumbbell exercises." However, weightlifting offers numerous benefits when practiced regularly.

Before I delve into these examples, it's important to understand that there are some differences. Women, obviously, have a menstrual cycle and experience different changes throughout the month. It's important to keep track of what's happening each week, including stress levels, sleep duration, and appetite. Women naturally secrete less testosterone than men, and their context and experiences in life are unique.

With that being said, I can continue with the benefits. The first and, in my opinion, the best benefit is the development of hypertrophy and hyperplasia. These two muscular adaptations can result from other positive processes in the body, leading to better health and a more toned physique. It's important to note that women won't experience the same level of muscle gain as men due to differences in testosterone levels.

The second benefit is the social aspect. By embracing weightlifting, you're likely to change the perception of your family and friends. When you achieve these adaptations, you'll be stronger than other women, and it's a great opportunity to shape your identity and purpose. We must understand that this doesn't define us, but it does contribute to creating a better society. Don't worry about criticism or comments regarding your lifestyle; you're doing this for yourself.

The third benefit is for your future. Weightlifting helps prevent muscle loss, which is more common in women as they age. So, don't waste your time and start developing this healthy habit. Maybe you've never trained in this way before, but it's never too late to start.

In conclusion, I want to share a story about an old woman I saw on TikTok. She is 90 years old and started weightlifting in 2021. Don't waste your valuable time; your future self will thank you if you start right now. The benefits extend to good health, a toned physique, better relationships, and a healthier old age. Please comment if you have come across any other myths related to this topic.
